With his expertise as a senior accounting technician, his commitment to accuracy, and a guiding principle that his own success lies in that of his clients, Alan is a valuable member of the Cambridge Financial leadership team. Alan provides full cycle accounting, advisory, budgeting, and systems implementation services, while specializing in the restaurant, technology, not-for-profit, and EFT industries.

Peter Trainor

As office and production manager, Peter keeps the daily operations of Cambridge Financial on track and on time. With 16 years of experience, Peter handles payroll, accounts payable and receivable, month-end reconciliations, and works with auditors during annual review engagements.

Lu Feng

With more than 15 years of experience as a CGA, and armed with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Lu has worked with all sizes of business and government organizations to help optimize their operations and minimize their taxation. Lu's Cambridge Financial clients benefit from her expertise in private enterprise, real estate, investment funds, and the medical and dental industries. By working with businesses on tax compliance, estate and succession planning, business structure and planning, and the sale/purchase of a business, Lu guides her clients to achieve efficiency and effectiveness. 

Steve Cummings
Founder & President

Since founding Cambridge Financial Services in 1987, Steve has focused on building a business rooted in integrity, and professional in its practice. Under Steve's leadership, Cambridge Financial has earned an enviable reputation among businesses and industry peers alike for a commitment to high standards in bookkeeping, accounting, tax planning, and business advisory services. Steve works closely with his corporate and personal clients to provide tax advisory and planning services, monitor filings, and provide support on taxation issues. Steve is regularly asked to speak publicly on issues surrounding provincial taxation, taxation of seniors, and small business ownership. 

Mark Goldhar CA, CPA

In October 2013, Mark’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to start his own business, Mark Goldhar Inc, providing bookkeeping, tax, consulting and CFO services to select clients. Mark’s unique communication style, agile thinking, and strong analytical skills have positioned him as a well-connected player in the small business and start up scene in Atlantic Canada. Mark’s desire to focus more on pursuing his passions in these areas led him to amalgamate Mark Goldhar Inc with Cambridge Financial Services at the end of 2017. Mark has helped incubate multiple start-ups, helping with financial structure and capital raises, culminating the sale of two of the start-ups to public companies listed on the Toronto Venture Exchange.

Dan Nordqvist, CPA, CMA, MBA, MSc
Chief Operating Officer

Dan is the Chief Operating Officer at Cambridge Financial Services and is responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the company. Over the last number of years, he has developed significant expertise in corporate finance, financial analysis and accounting through work with a leading telecommunications company along with advising a wide variety of small businesses. Dan also has experience owning and operating a real estate company. Dan completed an MBA, an MSc and BSc in Kinesiology, all from Dalhousie University, and is a Chartered Professional Accountant. Dan is active in the community having served on a variety of boards including community lending organizations providing loans to small business in urban as well as rural communities. He is currently on the board of directors for the Nova Scotia Career Development Association. Dan is married, has two young children and three large breed dogs!
